Unexpected charging interruptions in electric vehicles often result from communication problems between the vehicle, the charging station, and the backend software. To address this, Amperfied GmbH, a subsidiary of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, and Pionix GmbH are collaborating on the new DC fast-charging solution Amperfied Dynamic DC. The goal is increased reliability through a standardized software foundation.
The combination of robust charging hardware from Amperfied and the open-source Pionix BaseCamp software platform ensures industrial availability and flexible expandability. BaseCamp, developed on the EVerest framework, enables detailed monitoring of all hardware components and forms the basis for predictive maintenance and performance-based service offerings.
“Thanks to the partnership, we can focus on features that truly matter to customers,” says Amperfied Managing Director Robin Karpp. Pionix CEO Marco Möller emphasizes the mutual benefits of the collaboration: “Our collaboration advances the development of charging infrastructure software and strengthens the EVerest ecosystem.”
