Brose’s e-bike app is getting a new look just in time for the start of the season. In the major spring update, the system manufacturer has comprehensively revised the ride recording. Not only has the number of recorded statistics been significantly increased, but particular attention has also been paid to an appealing and clear graphical presentation of the details. From now on, the Brose software will record almost 50 different pieces of data for each tour with the complete e-bike system from Berlin. Completely new are differentiated recordings of the power distribution between drive and pedal power, the support levels used, battery consumption, weather and physical condition (initially only for Apple users). The usual user-friendly visualization is provided by clear bar charts, pie charts and line graphs.
In addition, the app now evaluates general data such as distance, time, speed, altitude, motor and pedal power as well as cadence in even greater detail. Almost each of these categories is visualized with its own line graph. The highlight is the interactivity of the graphs, which are also synchronized with each other. Specific moments of each tour can be selected and the measured values at that time can be compared at a glance.
Lionel Sternberg, Product Owner E-Bike App at Brose: “With this comprehensive update, we are maintaining the short update cycles and increasing the user-friendliness of the app even further. Our end customers can now get the absolute maximum out of their rides and analyze them down to the smallest detail. The appealing graphical display of the statistics is not only interesting for e-bike nerds, but also for beginners – and rounds off the riding experience with the Brose system perfectly.”
The Berlin-based company launched its software on the market in 2021, and since then it has been the indispensable information center for all e-bikers with a Brose complete system. The program combines precise navigation and ride recording via GPS with all important data about the system components and tours. The Brose e-bike app thus transforms the smartphone into a fully-fledged on-board computer in no time at all.
