The Arteon is the Gran Turismo from Volkswagen – avant-garde, energetic and efficient. Volkswagen is now giving a first look at the new Arteon. In addition to the classic Gran Turismo, a second variant of the model series will be offered as a shooting brake in the future. This is dynamic and elegant and impresses with the flexible concept of a variant. Klaus Bischoff, Head of Volkswagen Group Design and the design of the Volkswagen brand: “With the Arteon Shooting Brake, we have created a new balance of speed, power and space.”
For the debut of the two Arteon versions, Volkswagen will present a far-reaching update of the model series. Inside, the Arteon receives a completely new cockpit landscape, which corresponds to the exclusive charisma of these models. Integrated here: the latest systems of the modular infotainment system (MIB3), which will ensure the best possible networking. Technically, the drive range was also realigned.
All engines combine high efficiency as well as low emission and powerful torque values. The maximum in efficiency is achieved through innovative, future-proof engine and exhaust technologies. Furthermore, intelligent assistance systems are entering the avant-garde model range. An example: Thanks to the “Travel Assist”, the new Arteon models can be driven for the first time in a highly assisted manner – within the system limits. At speeds of up to 210 km / h, the Volkswagen, which is tailored to the long haul, takes over the steering, acceleration and braking – under the driver’s control.
