Rimac Automobili is a true success story that started in a garage and grew into a globally recognized technology leader, based on the passion and vision of the company´s team, led by the founder and CEO Mate Rimac.
Rimac Automobili employs talented, highly educated and motivated young people who work together towards achieving the company´s vision. We have grown from 20 employees in 2013 to over 100 in less than two years. Our company is located in Sveta Nedelja, a small town near Croatia’s capital, Zagreb.
We hold 5 FIA and Guinness World records for the fastest accelerating electric vehicle. Racing has always been the driver of innovation. It is the reason for our very existence as Rimac Automobili was born as the result of Mr. Rimac’s passion for racing and electronics.
Our first car was the Concept_One, world’s first all-electric hypercar introduced at the 2011 Frankfurt auto show. A car with the highest power-density battery and powertrain system together with next-generation infotainment systems.
The Concept_One shows today what tomorrow’s technology can do. It has four independent electric motors, a total of 1088 HP and 1600 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3, 2 seconds can reach up to limited 325 km/h and has a range of 330 km on a single charge. It features Rimac All Wheel Torque Vectoring system that controls the four motors 100 times per second and adjusts torque on each wheel to maximize grip on each tire through the corner.
The Concept_One was featured in the last season of Formula E series as a Race Director’s car and will be the basis for future generations of Rimac supercars.
Rimac Automobili hasn’t limited its production only to electric supercars. The company also designs, engineers and packages solutions for high-performance electric vehicles for customers around the world. From the most powerful electric racing cars (Monster Tajima Pikes Peak race car), hybrid supercars (Koenigsegg Regera) and electric bicycles (Greyp Bikes) to wheelchairs and watercrafts. Rimac Automobili also cooperates with major car manufacturers providing R&D and technical solutions from start to finish.
All systems and components are designed, developed and manufactured in-house including: drivetrain systems, battery modules and packs, battery management systems, torque vectoring systems, composite (carbon) parts, chassis, metal structures, electronics systems, infotainment, vehicle control, high-voltage systems and other electric components.
