Sajjad Khan is joining the Porsche AG Executive Board team with immediate effect. The 50-year-old will head the newly created Car IT department at the sports car manufacturer. This department is responsible for connectivity and infotainment. The newly formed team also deals with the requirements and integration of third-party ecosystems into the vehicle. Sajjad Khan has his office at the Porsche Development Center in Weissach. Working closely with Michael Steiner, Member of the Executive Board for Research and Development, he will help shape Porsche’s digital future from there. Sajjad Khan worked at Mercedes-Benz until August 2021 – most recently as Chief Technology Officer and member of the Divisional Board of Mercedes-Benz Cars. He is the eighth member of the Executive Board of Porsche AG and will also take the lead in relation to Porsche’s R&D satellite in China. He is also Chairman of the Shareholders’ Committee of Porsche Digital and a member of the Shareholders’ Committee of Porsche Engineering.
