Citroën and Ubitricity want to make Europe’s city residents e-mobile

Citroën and ubitricity, a member of the Shell Group, have signed a cooperation agreement to make electric mobility more accessible to drivers in European cities. The collaboration aims to encourage drivers to switch to electric vehicles (EVs) and help more cities offer on-street electric vehicle charging to residents. This will raise awareness of alternative mobility options and support the energy transition by partnering with innovative solution providers to offer a full-service package for drivers and municipalities.

The collaboration will start in London and will help buyers of the Citroën Ami to charge in on-street parking spaces when it is launched in September 2022. Customers who buy a new Citroën Ami will receive 3 months free charging on ubitricity’s network of over 5,500 lamppost charging points for electric vehicles in Greater London and other locations across the UK. To start free charging, Ami drivers can activate their discount with a unique code in the Shell Recharge app. www.citroen.com ; www.ubitricity.com
