eMove360° Award 2018: Expert jury to select finalists

Rising participation in the second edition of the eMove360° Award for Electric Mobility & Autonomous Driving // 26 companies and organizations nominated – for the first time winner in the category Student

Munich, September 2018 – The finalists of the world’s most important award for the New Mobility have been announced. In its session, the jury of the eMove360° Award for Electric Mobility & Autonomous Driving has selected the most innovative and most promising submissions for the mobility of the future in six competition categories and nominated them as Award Finalists. In the categories Mobility Concepts & Services, Charging & Energy, Battery, Powertrain, Automated Driving & Electronics and Electric Vehicle, the jurors have selected a total of 26 companies and organizations as nominees. In addition, Adrian König-Rannenberg receives the eMove360 ° Student Award for the first time. The category winners will be announced in the official award ceremony in the festive atmosphere of the Munich Glyptothek on the eve of the eMove360° Europe 2018 – International Trade Fair for Mobility 4.0 – Electric – Connected – Autonomous (October, 16-18, 2018, Messe München).

“It is very nice to see how the quality of our contributions increases from year to year. Above all, it shows that the submitting companies and institutions, in addition to technical innovations and completely new concepts, increasingly have the goal of being economically successful with their products. When it comes to charging, the trend is moving away from technology in the direction of usability, which is supposed to make it as easy as possible for the e-driver to recharge his cars. But here, too, the technology makes an important contribution by enabling the very fast loading of vehicles”, said Robert Metzger, Managing Director of MunichExpo and organizer of the award.

Gala night for the new mobility with prominent support

The award and the gala evening will be supported by prominent ambassadors such as TV journalist and author Nina Ruge as well as actor, author and documentary filmmaker Hannes Jaenicke. “My credo has long been: electric mobility does not cause any noise, does not stink, is environmentally friendly and is simply fun. I continue to stand by this, but I would like to add that we have everything at our disposal: the know-how, the technology, the vehicles, the infrastructure and also enough brilliant ideas for a new form of mobility – as this year’s competition clearly shows. Let us finally use these resources, because sustainable mobility is an important part of the ecological heritage that we leave to future generations”, said Hannes Jaenicke about his commitment to the New Mobility.
