Share of international exhibitors increased again to 44 percent // 20 percent more net exhibition space, 30 percent more visitors
Munich, October 2018 – The eMove360° Europe 2018 – International Trade Fair for Mobility 4.0 – Electric – Connected – Autonomous, which ended on Thursday evening, continues to grow. Around 260 exhibitors from 25 countries – the international share of 44 percent marks a new all-time high – presented their innovations and solutions for the mobility of the future during eMove360° Europe 2018, occupying more than 20 percent more space than last year. Robert Metzger, CEO of the organizer MunichExpo, expressed his delight in his summary of this year’s show: “I am delighted that we have continued our continuous growth and experienced a considerable increase in the number of visitors of 30 percent this year. In addition, many exhibitors have expanded their stand space after booking. It shows that our exhibitors are launching innovations at a high rate, which they want to present on our platform, which brings together supply and demand on a lobal level. “Eric Asunción, CEO of Wallbox, says of the world’s leading trade fair for mobility:” It was a huge event. The team has been working hard over the past few months to present our latest innovations and to receive positive feedback from the market, and today we are very proud to be a serious part of the energy transition as well as the e-mobility transition. Around 30 percent of the approximately 11,000 visitors came from outside of Germany. In addition to the high number, exhibitors praised the generally high quality of the conversations: “More than 90 percent of the visitors are professionals who are specifically looking for products and solutions for their requirements and approach the exhibitors with specific issues and buying interest. The fair has significantly expanded its status as the world’s leading trade fair for electric mobility. I am delighted that we are so successful in our approach of using electric mobility and autonomous driving as our core topics rather than as an adjunct to other topics such as renewable energy. We will continue to expand our position as the leading international trade fair in this field in the coming years” summarized Robert Metzger the eMove360° 2018.
Professional exchange on all platforms of eMove360°– Bavarian companies honored for true innovations
The fair forum was a real center and meeting point of this year’s event with exciting lectures and panel discussions as well as some press events and two lunch events with partners from the Netherlands and the Government of Catalonia. The new concept of the eMove360° Conferences on four different aspects of New Mobility was a huge success, attracting significantly more visitors than last year. Nearly 300 international participants praised the quality of the lectures as consistently very high. The technical exchange both in the question and answer sessions as well as in personal discussions between participants and speakers was a great enrichment of the four Conferences on the topics Battery, Fuel Cell, Electric & Autonomous Mobility and Charging & Energy.
The accompanying awards – eMove360° Award for Electric Mobility & Autonomous Driving and the now 16th MATERIALICA Design + Technology Award – saw submissions by renowned companies such as Daimler, Continental, Brose, Hubject, Tritium or Juice Technology, but also by young companies such as the two Munich-based companies Blickfeld and LION Smart as well as dynamic E flow from Kaufbeuren, Bavaria, all winners in their categories at the second edition of the eMove360° Award.
