From October 17 to 19, the world’s most important B2B trade fair for electric mobility and autonomous driving will take place in Munich: eMove360° Europe. Raycap, an international manufacturer of electronic components for surge protection, connectivity and monitoring, will present its innovations for protecting e-charging infrastructure from surge damage in Hall A6 at Booth 501.
In publicly accessible charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, surge protection is mandatory to protect people and connected vehicles from damage in the event of a surge event. However, surge protection is also necessary in the private sector, for example for wallboxes, in order to protect the investment and prevent damage to the vehicle and, in the worst case, injuries.
However, a single surge protection solution cannot cover a complete charging scenario. That’s why Raycap, as an expert in protecting the sensitive e-mobility infrastructure, has developed a comprehensive product portfolio: whether for the AC or DC area, for small charging stations in the private and public sector as well as for fast charging stations.
Raycap’s focus at eMove360° Europe 2023 will be on the new ProBloc EV T2 V. With its compact design with a width of 35 mm, the type 2+3 surge protection component is designed to fit even in small AC charging stations or wallboxes. This means that private charging stations that are not already adequately protected against surge damage via the house connection can also be protected. The ProBloc EV T2 V is particularly quick and easy to install and reliably protects charging stations as well as e-cars connected to them from surge damage. The new component offers a short-circuit current resistance of 10 kA and enables V-wiring for in-line installation. Thanks to a visual status indicator and an optional remote contact, users can always monitor the status of their component. In addition, Raycap will showcase other proven solutions to protect all charging infrastructure applications, energy storage systems and PV installations.
