E-fleet expansion: 60 Fiat E-Scudos for E-GAP

Broken down with an empty battery? No charging station for your own electric vehicle in your neighborhood? E-GAP offers a solution to such problems. The Italian start-up maintains a fleet of vans that serve as mobile charging stations in such and similar emergencies. FIAT Professional supports E-GAP in two ways. The delivery of 60 Fiat E-Scudo will not only further expand E-GAP’s fleet. The versatile vans also drive electrically themselves and are thus locally emission-free on the road.

E-GAP provides an urban, mobile and on-demand fast charging service. Customers can request the service via a smartphone app. E-GAP is currently available in Germany in Munich, and also in selected cities in Italy (Rome, Milan, Bologna, Turin, Verona, Brescia, Trento), France (Paris) and Spain (Madrid). Expansion to additional European cities is planned.

The Fiat E-Scudo was designed as an all-round utility vehicle that drives like a passenger car and has compact dimensions. Its height of 1.90 meters also makes it accessible to parking garages and underground garages. Combined with a length of 5.0 meters (5.3 meters in the Maxi version) and a load volume of up to 6.6 cubic meters, the Fiat E-Scudo is a particularly versatile van. And it does all this with a payload of up to 1.2 tons.

Two battery variants with 50 kWh or 75 kWh capacity are available for the Fiat E-Scudo. With the large battery, the Fiat E-Scudo achieves a maximum range of 330 kilometers at a top speed of 130 km/h. The charging power is up to 11 kW with alternating current. With direct current and a charging power of up to 100 kW, the 75 kWh battery is charged to 80 percent in just 45 minutes.
