Lightweight valves made from a new kind of lightweight titanium material.
On the basis of a new kind of lightweight titanium material, inlet and outlet valves have been developed for the engine sector, which bring about drastic weight reductions while improving durability, wear and corrosion resistance. The weight reduction of approx. 40% results in new possibilities with regard to the design of the valve train. Emissions can be reduced, efficiency increased and thus resources saved.
