Personnel: Björn Twiehaus new member of the Marquardt Management Board

From April 1, Björn Twiehaus will be Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of the Marquardt Group. At the beginning of 2025, the 46-year-old will take over from Dr. Harald Marquardt, who has been at the helm of the Marquardt Group since 1996. Björn Twiehaus will be the first manager in the 100-year history of the family-owned company to head the globally active mechatronics specialist who does not come from one of the two Marquardt shareholder families.

Björn Twiehaus comes from Hella GmbH & Co. KG, based in Lippstadt, an automotive supplier with around 39,000 employees worldwide that generates annual sales of around eight billion euros and has been part of automotive supplier Forvia SE since 2022. Since 2002, Björn Twiehaus has held several management positions at Hella in production, sales and product and program management. In 2020, he took over the management of the Electronics division and in this function also became a member of the Hella Group Management Board. Björn Twiehaus studied mechanical engineering in Osnabrück, specializing in production technology, and also completed a degree in economics. In his role as Deputy CEO, Björn Twiehaus will be responsible for the automotive sector, which accounts for around eighty percent of Marquardt’s sales. The other members of the Marquardt Executive Board are Dr. Harald Marquardt (Chairman), Dr. Kristjan Ambroz (Chief Officer Mechatronic Devices), Jochen Becker (Chief Operating Officer) and Robert Schutt (Chief Financial Officer).
