Heliox-PACCAR (DAF) cooperation: fast charging stations for e-trucks

Heliox, the global leader in fast charging systems for freight, is partnering with PACCAR to support the roll-out of e-trucks in Europe (DAF) and North America (Kenworth and Perterbilt). In Europe, PACCAR already offers mobile chargers with a capacity of up to 40 kW. With the stationary fast chargers, power from 150 kW to 360 kW is even possible. Customers can use them to charge their truck during their lunch break and continue driving in the shortest possible time. It is also possible to charge three trucks simultaneously overnight with the stationary charger at lower power.

In North America, Heliox plans to deliver 40 kW and 50 kW mobile chargers to PACCAR’s customers. The goal is to make it as uncomplicated as possible for companies to get started with electric mobility. That’s why the mobile chargers are not only lightweight, but also easy to transport and compatible with existing infrastructure. Each charger comes with a one-year warranty, which can optionally be extended to two years.

Dick Leek, General Manager PACCAR Parts Europe: “The truck market is at a turning point and looking towards an electric future. Heliox will work closely with DAF to identify customers’ charging infrastructure needs and help them transition to an electric fleet.”

“This partnership is timely as Heliox is currently expanding the charging infrastructure for e-trucks in the European market,” says Michel Colijn, CEO of Heliox. “We are delighted to be working with PACCAR and to jointly provide the PACCAR charging offer. We accompany customers on their way to an electric fleet with a reliable service and excellent products.”

Ongoing testing with new trucks will ensure that Heliox chargers are among the most consistent and reliable on the market. In addition, the chargers can be monitored and controlled with EV Service Provider software via a cloud-based Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP). https://de.heliox-energy.com/; www.DAF.com
