eMove360° Award 2019: Expert Jury To Choose the Best Competition Entries

Consistent high quality of submissions in the third edition of the eMove360° Award for Electric Mobility & Autonomous Driving, 20 companies and organizations nominated – three finalists in the category Student

Munich, September 2019 – The finalists of the world’s most important award for the New Mobility have been announced. In its session, the jury of the eMove360° Award for Electric Mobility & Autonomous Driving has selected the most innovative and most promising submissions for the mobility of the future and nominated them as award finalists. In the categories Mobility Concepts & Services, Charging & Energy, Battery & Powertrain, Automated Driving & Electronics and Electric Vehicle, the jurors have selected a total of 20 companies and organizations as nominees. In addition, three student entries can hope to win the prize money of 1,000 Euro. The category winners will be announced in the official award ceremony in the festive atmosphere of the Gloria Palast, a legendary movie theater located directly in in the heart of the heart of City of Munich, on the eve of the eMove360° Europe 2019 – International Trade Fair for Mobility 4.0 – Electric – Connected – Autonomous (October, 15-17, 2019, Messe München). Also attending will be Bavaria’s Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger, who has assumed the patronage of this award, as well as Stephanie Jacobs, Health and Environment Officer of the City of Munich and, for the first time this year, a member of the jury.

“It is getting harder every year to not promote entries to the finalists of our award. At the same time, we are delighted about the broad range of the projects that were handed in this year: from start-ups, that pursue previously unprecedented technological paths or develop entirely new business models for the mobility of tomorrow, to well established companies that provide practical answers to pressing issues that the transition from the fossile to the new mobility is raising”, said Robert Metzger, Managing Director of MunichExpo and a pioneer in e-Mobility in Germany since 2009.

Gala night for the new mobility with prominent support

The award and the gala evening will be supported by prominent ambassadors such as the author and documentary filmmaker Hannes Jaenicke. “My credo has long been: electric mobility does not cause any noise, does not stink, is environmentally friendly and is simply fun. I continue to stand by this, but I would like to add that we have everything at hand: the know-how, the technology, the vehicles, the infrastructure and also enough brilliant ideas for a whole new mobility – as this year’s competition shows. Let us finally use these resources!”, said Hannes Jaenicke about his commitment. The actress and Adolf Grimme Award winner Nadeshda Brennicke also uses her fame for the New Mobility and will enrich the gala evening with a laudatory speech for one of the winners, as well as the singer and entertainer Tobey Wilson, who has been providing magic musical moments in the award ceremony since 2015.
